How to build your own FamilySearch application

This presentation will show how to easily create your own FamilySearch software application. Several language-specific, Open Source libraries have been created to speed your development of applications for the new FamilySearch platform. We will demonstrate how to access and update FamilySearch data using Ruby, PHP, and Java. Learn how to explore your family tree, search a large database of genealogy records, and display and update information about your ancestors.

Jimmy is the FamilySearch API Developer Support engineer for FamilySearch. Before joining FamilySearch, he led a small consulting team building Ruby on Rails web applications such as FamilyInHistory.com and USFamilyTree.com. Jimmy holds a Master of Information Systems Management degree from BYU's Marriott School of Management.
