During the daytime hours, Michael Place works in the Research and Development division of XMission Internet, but he spends the rest of his time working on an open-source radio station with 50 part-time volunteers and a 24-7 programming schedule. Found on the web at utahfm.org, the station was built using open source software and tools from conception to reality in just under six weeks.
